Instagram Stories vs. Instagram Reels
When it comes to Instagram Reels vs. Instagram Stories, it really isn’t an either/ or choice. You should be incorporating both of them into your social media strategy. We know how similar they may seem to you, but don’t worry. Today, we are going to break down when you should be using each feature to grow your business!
Instagram Stories allows users to share/ produce 15-second video clips that remain live for 24 hours. These videos provide an excellent way to share moments with your audience throughout the day without them staying on your feed forever. You should use this IG feature to highlight new posts, create polls, share content from other users, and give your audience a glimpse into your day. What did you eat for breakfast? When did you workout? What before and after treatment photos can you share from the day?
Instagram Reels is another way of sharing short-form video content and also allows 15-second videos. Unlike IG Stories, these videos do stay on your feed until deleted. Reels are found in the Explore tab on your IG menu (the magnifying glass icon). At this point in time, Reels are only available to businesses that have personal Instagram accounts. You should use this feature to share more permanent content with your audience. Perhaps you could create a Reel showcasing your team members. Create demos of your retail products, focusing on the end result they provide. Record a Reel highlighting different parts of a procedure from start to finish.
Both Stories and Reels provide a great place to share a more personal side with your audience. IG showcases reels to users based on their interests and viewing history. This means that your videos have the chance to land right in front of your target clients!
