Perfection Kills Progress.⁠ ⁠

That is my new business mantra. ⁠ ⁠

When I am focusing on perfection, I am much less likely to obtain my goals. It is better to get started and revise along the way; than to never begin because you still have not reached a certain lofty level of perfection.⁠ ⁠

Do you want to know some of the best advice that I can share with you? When you are starting a new initiative, start simple. ⁠ Whether you are hiring new staff or writing out new training procedures, do not wait for everything to be perfect to begin.⁠ ⁠

As your new initiative progresses, begin filling in the details that may be missing. Am I saying be careless? Of course not! Am I saying step outside your comfort zone and begin? Yes. It is a great idea to get your team involved with the task at hand, helping with the work, and offering constructive criticism. ⁠ ⁠

When you are focusing on perfection, you will make so many extra edits to your work. It will take you longer and kill your creativity. Trust me, I know.⁠ ⁠

As I have been working on my new course for you, I have wanted to ensure that it has the best tools, concepts, and ideas for you. While I still desire and work for that same level of quality, I have realized that people need help. People want help, even if that help isn’t perfect.⁠ ⁠
