The holiday season is upon us. That means people will be busy shopping and otherwise preparing for the gatherings of family and friends. As the owner of an Aesthetic Practice or MedSpa, you need to be ready for anything and everything this season throws at you. Here is some great advice that will help get you through the holiday season while shining like the tinsel on a tree.
1. Have a Pre-Holiday Team Meeting
Call your staff together for a meeting before the holiday rush hits. Use this time to go over your holiday promotions and review your operations expectations so every clients’ needs can be filled easily and efficiently. Stress the importance of regular attendance and working as a team. When one person slacks off, everyone suffers. Beyond an off-hours get-together, consider doing a gift exchange among your staff. Often, simply buying gifts for others can put people in the holiday spirit. Remind your staff that it is crucial to make every customer feel extra-special. Patience, kindness, and empathy are all characteristics your staff should exhibit every hour of every day they are working. Remind your team that this time of year can be stressful for a multitude of reasons.
Many people are lonely. For others, the holiday season brings up sad memories. Other people have a hard time dealing with the stress of the additional responsibilities that the holidays bring. So, there is a good chance your staff members will encounter crabby and cantankerous customers. 5. Give Back as a Team
Never let yourself or your team forget that this season is all about giving and not getting. Get into the holiday spirit together by being charitable together. Find a way to give back to the community you serve. Donate time or goods to a food pantry in the neighborhood or adopt a local family in need. Giving back to the community as a team will bring your staff closer together as the new year approaches. The holidays are a busy time for everyone.
