Vanity Metrics Are Not Enough- Tracking Where It Counts

Let’s chat about vanity… vanity metrics, that is 😏.…
As you well know, the aesthetic industry is very appearance-oriented. It’s easy to get wrapped up in a checklist of vanity metrics.
Beautiful interior design✔️
A large social following✔️
More services than the MedSpa next door✔️
This list can go on and on. While these areas of your business do have some relevance, they don’t usually deserve the attention that many physicians afford them. Vanity metrics alone won’t get you very far.
The secret to success within a competitive industry like aesthetics is focusing on your competitive advantage.
Concentrate on being known for one thing, do it well, stay in your zone, and reap the rewards of being “the go-to expert” in that particular field. I love it when facial plastic surgeons stay focused on the face, and body-focused plastic surgeons stay focused on the body. I have even seen certain plastic surgeons admit their limitations and avoid performing risky procedures like Brazilian Butt Lifts despite the high demand. Trying to be an expert in many specialties = being an expert at none.
